Our very own <a href=\"https:\/\/translash.org\">TransLash Media<\/a> founder, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imarajones.com\">Imara Jones<\/a>, is a Black trans woman who deserves to be celebrated this month; among her many accomplishments, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CMheqVrjza9\/\">Imara&#8217;s thought leadership<\/a> was shared at the start of the March 17, 2021 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.judiciary.senate.gov\/meetings\/the-equality-act-lgbtq-rights-are-human-rights\">Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on the Equality Act<\/a>. Through TransLash and her many other collaborative projects, Imara tells trans stories to save trans lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Keeping that same energy, here is a list (not exhaustive, just a place to start!) of more Black trans women to support and follow every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Aaron Rose Philip<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized is-style-rounded\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/translash.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Screen-Shot-2021-03-19-at-10.17.53-AM.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3180\" style=\"width:512px;height:512px\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><a href=\"http:\/\/instagram.com\/aaron___philip\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@aaron___philip on Instagram<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Aaron Rose Phillip <\/strong>is an Antiguan-American model who in 2018 became the first Black, transgender, and disabled model represented by a major modeling agency. A powerful history-making artist, she also has a book published through HarperCollins called <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.harpercollins.com\/products\/this-kid-can-fly-its-about-ability-not-disability-aaron-philip?variant=32122868006946\" target=\"_blank\">This Kid Can Fly: It&#8217;s About Ability (Not Disability)<\/a>.
