In partnership with WNYC, Lives at Stake is a series of frank conversations by and for trans people about the issues affecting their communities, hosted by Emmy and Peabody Award winner Imara Jones, The Greene Space’s first-ever Journalist-in-Residence. Building off Jones’ storytelling project TransLashthese online gatherings will also highlight the resilience, creativity and artistry that are critical ingredients to trans life, showcasing trans creatives performing their craft.

Not only is Imara Jones is a 2019 Soros Equality Fellow, but TransLash receives additional grant support from the Open Society Foundations. OSF connects TransLash to trans people in the United States and around the world to advance our core mission. Focused on freedom, democracy and human rights, OSF is one of the largest philanthropic organizations in the world.

TRANSGENDER LAW CENTER

Since TransLash’s early beginnings, the Transgender Law Center has linked with TransLash to spotlight trans stories and issues nationwide, including pivotal events which bring communities together.  TLC is the largest American transgender-led civil rights organization in the United States.

NEW YORK WOMEN'S FOUNDATION

The New York Women’s Foundation was an early investor in TransLash, and the first philanthropy to back Imara’s vision. The Foundation has continued to work with TransLash on social media, events, and introduces TransLash to other potential funders.  The Foundation is the largest organization for women in the United States and is the second largest in the world.

SAMSUNG

Samsung partnered with TransLash on a groundbreaking Transgender Day of Remembrance event, a special Galaxy Wellness Session, during which those whom we lost as well as current trans stories were centered. Samsung is the largest manufacturer of mobile phones in the world

I am going to pin my annual tracker of anti-trans bills. Legislatures are starting early and are extra cruel this year despite the pandemic. The ... judiciary is even more hostile so we need to stop these from passing. I will keep updating as more bills come.
