In this bonus episode, Imara is joined by North Carolina-based abortion doula and community organizer, Ash Williams. Ash shares his journey to becoming a doula and discusses the importance of abortion care for and by the Black trans community. He teases out the connections between systemic racism and the criminalization of abortion, and the risks of doing this work in an increasingly hostile political environment.
