Trans Mother’s Day

Episode Description

The word “mother” hits differently for trans folks. Traditional notions of motherhood are very in racialized and heterosexual norms. But what does motherhood look like when you’re trans and what does being mothered look like when you’re trans? To explore these questions and more, we spoke to the woman GQ magazine called a godmother of the Black Trans Lives Matter Movement, Ceyenne Doroshow. We also get some trans joy from from Ngozi Nnaji, the mother of trans track star and trailblazer Andraya Yearwood.
